Irish Dancing
As part of Seachtain na Gaeilge, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class children were taught Irish dancing by Eliz from the office (and Scoil Rince Fingal). The 1st Class children learned An Rince Mór (The Big Dance), the 2nd Class children were taught Ballaí Luimní (The Walls of Limerick) and the 3rd Class children performed Ionsaí na hInse (The Siege of Ennis). The children learned the side step, the promenade step and the swing, and had great fun practising their new skills!
